TIBET: DOVE LA TERRA TOCCA IL CIELO E LO RIEMPIE DI COLORI

Di un recente viaggio in Tibet (il tetto del mondo) voglio proporvi alcune immagini delle bandierine colorate che vengono stese sui passi, sui fiumi e sulla sommità delle montagne.

Per la cultura tibetana le bandiere di preghiera sventolando creano un’atmosfera di pace mentre le forti correnti d’aria himalaiane guidano le preghiere, trasportate dal “Cavallo del Vento” verso il cielo.

I colori delle bandiere rappresentano gli elementi naturali: giallo-terra, verde-acqua, rosso-fuoco, bianco-spazio, blu-aria.

Recently I travelled in Tibet (the top of the world) and I would like to propose some photos of the coloured flags which were left close to the rivers, mountains passes and on the top of the mountains.
For Tibetan culture these flying prayer flags create a peaceful atmosphere, the strong Himalayan winds lead prayers, which are transported by the “Wind Horse”  to the sky.
The colours of the flags represent the natural elements: yellow is the ground, green is the water, red is the fire, white is the space and blu is the air.
