OMAGGIO A HEINZ WAIBL, UN GRANDE PROTAGONISTA DELLA GRAFICA CONTEMPORANEA

Il 14 maggio scorso sono stato all’inaugurazione della retrospettiva su Heinz Waibl nel museo m.a.x. di Chiasso, così chiamato in onore del suo amico e maestro Max Huber; un’interessante occasione per chi come me si occupa di immagine ed è appassionato di segni e disegni. È stato un piacere rincontrare Heinz, fondatore dell’agenzia Signo insieme a Laura Micheletto, con i quali ho collaborato per clienti come Nava Design, BTicino e Regione Emilia Romagna. Il suo linguaggio grafico senza artifici denota una franchezza di tratto e di spirito che dopo 60 anni di continua attività è ancora incredibilmente attuale. Un maestro da conoscere e riscoprire.

In May I went to the opening of Heinz Waibl’s retrospective at m.a.x. museum in Chiasso (the museum is dedicated to his friend and mentor Max Huber). It was an interesting opportunity for people like me, always interested in visuals and passionated about signs and designs, and of course it was a pleasure to meet Heinz again, founder of the Signo agency with Laura Micheletto, with whom I worked for clients such as Nava Design, BTicino and Emilia Romagna. Its graphical language without artifices denotes so much candor in the drawing line and in spirit that after 60 years of continuous activity is still incredibly current. A teacher to rediscover.
