Milano

Milano è un luogo che, anche a livello architettonico, sta sempre al passo coi tempi, senza però dimenticare il suo passato, sia negli edifici iconici sia in quelli più quotidiani, più funzionali. Negli ultimi anni diversi interventi urbanistici hanno cambiato completamente il suo skyline e la sua immagine conosciuta ai più. 

Da anni vivo i luoghi di questa città, che sono diventati una sorta di palcoscenico quotidiano, che immortalo in tutta la sua bellezza e complessità. Mi concentro su grattacieli, ex fabbriche, palazzi dai muri ciechi, antiche costruzioni, edifici in vetro, in cemento, in mattone, parchi, giardini, terrazze. Aspetto il momento in cui non ci sono passanti, bicilette, monopattini o auto per rendere le architetture le sole protagoniste delle mie immagini. 

Milano è una delle città più popolose e variegate di tutta Italia, e, sicuramente, questo vale anche per gli edifici che costituiscono il suo corpo urbano, tanto che esistono degli itinerari per scoprire le sfaccettature architettoniche della città. 

Milan is a place that, even on an architectural level, always keeps up with innovations, without forgetting its past, both in the iconic buildings and in the more functional ones. In recent years, several urban interventions have completely changed its skyline and its image known to the most.

I have been living the places of this city for years now, and they have become a sort of everyday stage, that I photograph in all its beauty and complexity. I focus on skyscrapers, former factories, buildings with blind walls, ancient buildings, buildings in glass, concrete, brick, parks, gardens, terraces. I always wait for the moment in which there are no passers-by, bicycles, scooters or cars to make architecture the only protagonist of my images.

Milan is one of the most populous and varied cities throughout Italy, and certainly this also applies to the buildings that make up its urban body, so much so that there are itineraries to discover the architectural facets of the city.
