L’ARMONIA NEI “COCCI” DI GUIDO DE ZAN

Entrando nel laboratorio atelier di Guido De Zan si viene affascinati dagli oggetti esposti: vasi dalle forme sinuose, alcuni con strutture articolate, altri come grattacieli stilizzati e colpisce quanto siano armoniosi e moderni. Materiale e forma si fondono in un tutt’uno che ci riporta al nostro immaginario, suscitando sempre grande sorpresa. I vasi sembrano quelli bidimensionali disegnati su un foglio o in un fumetto di Topolino e ben si accordano con altre sculture dalle forme morbide di donne o simulacri di edifici storici e icone dell’architettura.

Un viaggio che vale assolutamente la pena di fare a Milano nella bottega “Il Coccio” vicino alle colonne di San Lorenzo, dove Guido De Zan produce da più di 40 anni le sue sculture.

Proprio in occasione del 40° anniversario del suo laboratorio è stato pubblicato il volume monografico: “Guido De Zan, un’idea di leggerezza” edito da Corraini Edizioni.

Entering into Guido De Zan‘s atelier you are fascinated by the exposed objects: there are jars with flexuous shapes, some of them have articulated structures, others seem stylized skyscrapers and they amaze with their harmony and modernity. Shape and material emerge and bring us back into our old imaginary, but they always create a big surprise. Vases seem two-dimensional drafts on a sheet or on a Micky Mouse’s comic and they get on well with other women sculptures with soft shapes or with statues of historical buildings and architectural icons.

When you go to “Il Coccio”, a shop in Milan close to Colonne di San Lorenzo, you start a journey which is absolutely worth to do. Here Guido De Zan has been making his sculptures for more than forty years.

In the occasion of the 40° anniversary of his atelier the monographic book “Guido De Zan, un’idea di leggerezza” was published by Corraini Edizioni.
