DETTAGLI LIBERTY A SAN PIETROBURGO

E’ stata davvero una piacevole scoperta visitare la stazione ferroviaria di Vitebsk a San Pietroburgo.

I primi progetti risalgono alla fine del 1800, ma la costruzione come si vede oggi è stata ideata nel 1904. Fu considerato un progetto molto innovativo per l’epoca, perché vi si ritrovano diversi stili come il Jungendstil per la facciata e il Liberty per gli interni.

Cioè che colpisce in modo particolare è l’attenzione per i dettagli, dalla forgiatura dei metalli alla decorazione delle finestre, dai colori alle scalinate eleganti.

The visit to Vitebsk train station in San Pietroburgo was a real discovery.

Its first projects go back to the end of 1800, but the actual construction was projected in 1904. It was a very innovative project at that time, because different styles were mixed together as the Jungendstil of the facade and the Liberty of the interiors. 

The great care for the details is really impressive: from the forging of the steels to the windows decorations, from the colours to the elegant stairs.
