ALESSI: IL DESIGN SI METTE IN MOVIMENTO CON LA NUOVA CREAZIONE DI ODILE DECQ

Alessi da sempre ama unire industria e design per dare forma a oggetti unici nel loro genere.

Come nel caso della produzione di questo cestino da frutta progettato da Odile Decq, la famosa archistar francese, nonché designer e artista visionaria dallo spirito punk. Gli spazi da lei progettati non sono dei luoghi statici ma sprigionano una tensione che porta ad un equilibrio dinamico: “Quell’equilibro nel quale forze apparentemente contraddittorie trovano un punto di stabilità a dispetto del movimento tutt’intorno”. Sono partito da queste considerazioni per ricavare uno scatto significativo del suo cestino da frutta “Twist again”.  La forma simile a una girandola sembra far ruotare il conturbante oggetto che sprigiona forza in ogni direzione. Mi è venuta così l’idea di creare uno sfondo che sembri tracciare molteplici vie di fuga…mostrando anche il lato “dark” del prodotto.

As in the case of this fruit basket designed by Odile Decq, the famous French archistar, as well as designer and visionary artist with a sort of  punk spirit. The spaces she designes are not static places but give off a power that leads to a dynamic equilibrium: “That equilibrium in which seemingly contradictory forces are a point of stability in spite of the movement all around.” I started from these considerations to obtain a shot that portrays her fruit basket “Twist again” in a different way. The shape that looks like a pinwheel appears to rotate the perturbing object and emanates forces that spread in all directions. I came up with the idea to create a background that seems to draw multiple escape routes … and also with the idea to show the “dark side” of this product.
