IL METALLO CREA OGGETTI FUNZIONALI, INNOVATIVI, ELEGANTI E BELLI

Argento e acciaio inox sono i materiali preferiti dai designer per creare oggetti di pregio o di utilità quotidiana. Le capacità degli artigiani italiani ben si esprimono con questi materiali che ne realizzano forme e finiture infinite. Negli anni ho fotografato oggetti delle marche più prestigiose come De Vecchi, Alessi, Christofle, San Lorenzo, sempre cercando di evidenziarne lo stile con un’appropriata illuminazione.

“Il metallo si trasforma sotto la luce. Lucido diventa scintillante, accendendo ogni piega ed ogni convessità. Satinato si estende in morbide superfici continue. La fotografia è un racconto che nasce dal rapporto tra la luce e il materiale e ogni immagine è una storia, la cui trama è dettata tanto dalle esigenze del produttore quanto dalle suggestioni degli oggetti.”

Silver and stainless steel are favourite materials for designer to create value and useful objects. The knowledge of Italian artisan express itself in the better way with limitless shapes and finishes. In the years I took photos of objects made by most prestigious brands like De Vecchi, Alessi, San Lorenzo and I always tried to emphasize the style with the right lighting.

“Metal transforms itself under the light. Glossy becomes shining and it fires up every lines or convexity. Silky extends itself in soft continuous surfaces. Photography is a tale that was born from light and material, every image is a story that has instructed from the maker needs but also from the objects influence.”
