ARCHITETTI DELLA LUCE APRONO IL LORO STUDIO

Open studio 2017:  una bella occasione per curiosare negli studi dei progettisti, architetti, lighting designers. In quali spazi lavorano i professionisti che firmano i più sofisticati progetti di architettura e interni degli ultimi anni?

In questo mio breve report vi propongo lo studio di Metis Lighting, una società che si occupa di lighting design per i più importanti brand della moda e che collabora con famosi architetti internazionali, curando l’illuminazione di facciate e interni di hotel, aeroporti ed edifici sparsi per il mondo.

Entrando nello studio Metis si viene colpiti dal particolare contrasto tra la struttura industriale e gli ambienti ricchi di dettagli creativi, arredati da innumerevoli opere di artisti contemporanei. Si trovano infatti opere di Guido Scarabottolo, Paolo Guidotti, Julia Binfield, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Francesco Santosuosso, Francesca Zoboli, artisti che nell’arco di dieci anni hanno contribuito ad illustrare le copertine del Metis Book, una strenna natalizia inviata a clienti e amici, con disegni originali riferiti alla “luce” e a Metis.

Open studio 2017: a good chance to snoop in architects’, designers’ and lighting designers’ studios. Which are the places where professionists sign the most sophisticated projects of architecture and interiors of the last years?

In this brief report I would like to introduce Metis Lighting studio. It deals with lighting design for the most important fashion companies and cooperates with famous international architects taking care of hotels, airports and buildings lighting systems allover the world.

Inside Metis studio you are amazed by the contrast between the industrial building and the location with its many creative details decorated by several works by contemporary artists. There are artworks by Guido Scarabottolo, Paolo Guidotti, Julia Binfield, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Francesco Santosuosso and Francesca Zoboli. In the last ten years these artists have also illustrated the covers of Metis Book, a Christmas present for friends and customers, with original drafts concerning “light” and Metis
